The joy of Life!

It is amazing, how alive poerty makes our lives..it can awaken a whole new world within the existing world. It is the art that makes world truly infinite..A splash of colour,a stroke of finger over the guitar string, the rhythm of dancing feet, an entire new life living within the actor's eyes..It is this art that makes world worth living...

Came across sheer loveliness of living in this song. Every aspect of which is awe inspiring..
Lyrics by Rabindranath Tagore from Gitanjali..accompanied by breathtaking visuals..
This one sure needs to be mentioned here!

 The lyrics: (From Gitanjali)

Bhulbona ar shohojete
Shei praan e mon uthbe mete
Mrittu majhe dhaka ache
je ontohin praan
Bojre tomar baje bashi
She ki shohoj gaan
Shei shurete jagbo ami
Bojre tomar baje bashi
She ki shohoj gaan
dao more shei gaan
Shei jhor jeno shoi anonde
Chittobinar taare
Shotto-shundu dosh digonto
Nachao je jhonkare!
Bojre tomar baje bashi
She ki shohoj gaan
Shei shurete jagbo ami
Bojre tomar baje bashi
She ki shohoj gaan
Shei shurete jagbo ami
Bojre tomar baje bashi
She ki shohoj gaan
dao more shei gaan
Stream of Life [English translation of Praan]

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

Mad Blue Lover...

No wonder the sky is blue,
Like Krishna- the enlightened blue lover,
Sky embraces each one of us,
As madly as the other...

Like a Child...

I close my eyes, and I go back to those thankful little hands touching my feet, holding my hands, looking into my eyes, giving me their cute smile.

What have I done to receive this beautiful gift from them? Have I really gone out of my way? Have I done anything that anyone else could not do? I’d be honest and say, the answer is, No.
I have just been me. Sometimes a sister, sometimes a facilitator but they have been a sheer lights of joy in my life. Unconditionally, without any doubt, multiplying my love and giving back to me like a clear stream of water. Sometimes, you don’t get it so unconditionally even from the closest people in your life.

We grown ups think a thousand times before expressing our most beautiful feelings, and look at these little ones..they smile when they are happy, they cry when hurt and they hold you close when they feel love for you…

It’s such a joy seeing them dance so gracefully, to see them sing to the top of their voice without caring a bit about how they sound to others. Learn about colours, draw and paint out of their imagination..To complain, to express anger, to act cute and talk endlessly!
They are truly highly evolved souls.. Instead of working towards building a better future with our complex impossible plans. Lets try and be like them…pure, and unconditional..truly, only then can we make this world a beautiful place for our children.

The Beginning

"Where have I come from, where did you pick me up?" the baby asked
its mother.

She answered, half crying, half laughing, and clasping the
baby to her breast-
"You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling.
You were in the dolls of my childhood's games; and when with
clay I made the image of my god every morning, I made the unmade
you then.
You were enshrined with our household deity, in his worship
I worshiped you.
In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my
mother you have lived.
In the lap of the deathless Spirit who rules our home you have
been nursed for ages.
When in girlhood my heart was opening its petals, you hovered
as a fragrance about it.
Your tender softness bloomed in my youthful limbs, like a glow
in the sky before the sunrise.
Heaven's first darling, twain-born with the morning light, you
have floated down the stream of the world's life, and at last you
have stranded on my heart.
As I gaze on your face, mystery overwhelms me; you who belong
to all have become mine.
For fear of losing you I hold you tight to my breast. What
magic has snared the world's treasure in these slender arms of
mine?"
